Thank You Mr. President
Reason.tv recently put out a video talking about the libertarian movement, and why the greatest gift to the libertarian electorate was the Obama administration. I especially liked the quote at 1:10 in the video:
Libertarians are treated as if they have quirky beliefs precisely because they’re consistent. In a country where a lot of people have inconsistent beliefs, an adherence to principle… a consistentadherence to principle sometimes looks pretty unusual.
What a great quote!
At one point in the video, Mr. Pitney also says:
You have to put it in perspective. The vast majority of voters aren’t going to read The Road To Serfdom or The Constitution Of Liberty.
That sounds like a challenge to me!
